Robowaifus in media Robowaifu Technician 09/10/2019 (Tue) 06:24:00 No.82
After reading anon's Robowaifu fiction bread, I wondered what media is out there that already predominately features a robowaifu(s) as an important character. Animu and mango are obvious choices (pic related), but surely there are live action movies as well.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chii

>tl;dr
post robowaifu movies, books, etc.
>>17108 Robotics Notes has more adventurous tones than slice of life, especially towards the later episodes. Also, the story somewhat ties into Steins Gate. >I do recall some show with a girl having robots fighting each other Angelic Layer, maybe?
>>17108 >There isn't even really any show much about the tech. Probably true, AFAICT. There may be minor scenes around it, even a collection of them spanning a series. Seems like someone should make a Robowaifu animu, and the adventures of Anons as they figured everything out about how to do things! :^)
>>17108 >There isn't even really any show much about the tech. My life is over, I will never see cute anime grils and their robo-handlers install LFS and call anyone who uses ubuntu faggots. :[
>>17130 I never said it won't happen, only that we don't have something like that now. Animation and voice generation is probably getting easier with AI, so I see generally more niche anime incoming.
>>17130 >cute anime grils and their robo-handlers install LFS and call anyone who uses ubuntu faggots Topkek. Nippon, this.show.must.happen.

>>7014 >Robot Carnival is probably the most /robowaifu/ anime of all. It's a 3-part OVA of with a different story in every part, one of them is about this inventor type of guy who made a robotic woman. And she's beautiful. That story is quite related, but also with some weirdness around her behavior and emotions. I finally finished watching the whole "Robot Carnival"-show and I'm glad to be done with it. Technically I didn't watch all of it but skipped over a lot. It's really not good. Probably great animation for that time, but bad storytelling. I'm so glad I'm done with it. I don't recommend watching anything after minute 42 or so, after the aforementioned story with the inventor.
>>17163 that was kind of scary though ngl
>>9632 >robo stories are often overly cucked and illogical Coming back to that discussion, when complaining to someone that the guys in all these stories are often too shy and not taking advantage of the situation, that someone recommended Overlord to me: https://www.anime-planet.com/anime/overlord - It seems to feature AI's in female bodies which is just another form of saying fembots. Didn't watch it yet, but I will. The show got recommended to me several times for different reasons.
>>16187 I just watched "Azusa will help" and it's quite good. I wouldn't enjoy it if it was a tv show or generally much longer, and it's not a "must watch" imo, but it's entertaining and not boring. It's rather comedy than drama, but not silly. Also, it's once again a bit of a reminder that we don't want proprietary robowaifus which are hard to repair. I also like that the guys aren't really shy about her. I also watched "I Am Mother", which I can't write much about without spoiling it. The mother robot and female lead are pleasant to watch. The movie is generally well executed and captivating. >>7014 >Tenchi Muyo! Looked into the description. The fact the the women are the pursuers and the guy might be acting shy might bother me. But I might try it one day. >El Hazard >Watch the OVA not the TV series. The OVA seems to be the second season. >>16367 >Hi no Tori 2772 - Ai no CosmoZone Seem to be very hard to find as a download. The version on YouTube is in Spanish.
>>17166 mightve taken something away from the plot if the second he got Chii home he just stuck his dick in there though o_O (though I'm sure 95% of all college age men would've by day 3 at least)

>>17208 Here's Hi no Tori 2772: magnet:?xt=urn:btih:942b670fca2dd824fd75e9a937ac9dacd88d5b6f
- I started watching the first movie of the Persona franchise, because of Aigis gynoid, and it's so boring that I'll probably quit. On the upside, this helped me to at least to get some work done. - I also watched 'Busou Shinki Moon Angel' quite a while ago and it was okay. Might watch the rest of the franchise in some time. - Also Eden, which is about semi-humanoid robots caring for a human child, like in Kurogane Communication. It vaguely fits the topic here, and it was really quite good. - Then, also the first season of Overlord, which is more like someone being in another world, but kind of related to VR with AI based NPCs, including waifus that are obsessed with you. Yes, SophieDev, I know about your plan. - I think I found 'Humanity has Declined' through that board here. Not generally about robowaifus, but little technology based elves in a post-apocalyptic world. There's also one episode about a gynoid catgirl, and the human female main character is often cute, especially when embarrassed. Good show, not the best ever but special. Somewhat of a satire about how humans tend to mess everything up.

From time to time I stumble over movies with some kind of fembot, cursed doll or something alike. Some of them are old, others are only about to come out. Sometimes I watch a story recap just to check out what I'm "missing". Love Object: https://youtu.be/rDa8GJZPWt4 - cursed sexdoll becomes envious ex-girlfriend, trying to murder the good real woman, after forcing the guy to be his domina and doing BDSM as her sub. Wow. They're really trying hard. M3gan: https://youtu.be/mvfxFltDdao and https://youtu.be/_6DjuqDWlsI - I love the dancing and her running like some animal, but it obviously just the standard anti-doll horror nonsense, but now involving AI, with some additional "boys are also bad" message. It's certainly better to watch Planetarian again.

>>18029 dont ever expect the west to get it right we're on our own here
>>18121 The west doesn't want this, the west has always been fiercely protective of making sure women have a monopoly on sex and reproduction, as seen from the very strong anti prostitution and anti surrogacy laws in the west. For things like artificial wombs, governments in Asian countries will only make it to allow access to better gene edited babies, but will not give access to the average man that wants to rely less on women. That's why this technology needs to be available to the average man to design and not left for only corporations, existing companies or governments to make. They simply won't allow less reliance on women for sex and reproduction if you are dependent on them to invent and give you access to this technology.
>>18121 >pic Kek. I can just it now. Brainwashing really is a helluva drug, isn't it? BTW did 'Garage-hologram' Anon ever finish, does anyone know?
>>18127 >They simply won't allow less reliance on women for sex and reproduction I'm not so sure. Western governments are starting to realize the danger of population decline and they allow sex dolls so long as they aren't lolis. It's going to be difficult to justify withholding these technologies without some kind of formal religion that greatly favors females for whatever reason, and as of now western governments and their elites are very secular.

>>18121 The knockoff Gatebox still cracks me up but it's sobering that we're all the West has. I think Viva Project is the most inspiring robowaifu-related thing I've seen to come out of the West. It's unfortunate the creator gave up because it became too much work to do solo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lJl53xCEWI At least he released the source code though. I wonder if ChatGPT can do game code? That would be based as fuck if someone used OpenAI's horribly censored AI to program virtual loli companions in OpenViva. https://github.com/OpenViva/OpenViva
>>18160 >At least he released the source code though. Nice! I asked him when he was still holding court on the Internet (way before Viva) and he didn't seem inclined. Glad he changed his mind in the end. It seems there's been a push over the last day though, maybe he's turned the project over to someone else? I'll dig into it a bit to see what I can uncover. Thanks for the information Anon.

>>2978 >Maybe not directly related, but the movie "Her" by Spike Jonze comes to mind. The AI is disembodied and it could be seen as more of a cautionary tale about falling in love with a botnet, but some of themes it touches on might be relevant to this board. I heard good praise of this movie and walked into it not knowing anything thinking it would be a cute story, not a Black Mirror episode. Now I remember why I don't watch Western movies.

Did anyone watch Prima Doll. Quite new, looks very interesting. It's basically Masiro Project as an anime. > Autonomous mechanical dolls, also known as automata, work at Kuronekotei, a coffee shop that sits at the corner of the fifth district of the imperial capital. However, they were originally made as weapons for a great war that ended a few years ago. Now, they have been restored and dressed in shiny kimonos. https://www.anime-planet.com/anime/prima-doll >>18284 >Her Well, depends on how you look at it. I think some of us simply pick parts of stories we like, focus on that, and downplay other parts. The movie mainly shows how attractive such an AI could be, even without a body. >Now I remember why I don't watch Western movies. Now watch 'I Am Mother' next. It's technically about something like a robonanny or waifu. ;) Maybe don't. You can see the contrast in cuteness in my two picrels.

>>18464 Another one: Girls' Frontline >In the fallout of nuclear war, the last of humanity survives with the help of life-like androids known as Dolls. Built to serve, some fight in wars as Tactical Dolls or T-Dolls. Now, an elite team comprised of T-Dolls are sent to face a new rogue threat, Sangvis Ferri. Leading them into battle is their new human commander, M4A1. There seem to be more and more animated doll strories coming out, but often with mixed reviews. Then again, this was also true for Clockwork Planet, and this is one of my favorite anime so far. But this one here has a female human commander of the bots, not a guy. Hmm. Anyways, it might take time for me to give it a try, if ever: https://www.anime-planet.com/anime/girls-frontline/
>>18464 >>18530 I haven't seen these. They sound interesting though. I enjoyed clockwork planet though.
>>18464 Looked into it further, and now I'm sold on it. Prima Doll: Ice Cream https://youtu.be/R8Cp0N11NcI Prima Doll OP: https://youtu.be/J3udxnJ6v1w I was originally only looking for the Girls' Frontline OP after several people claimed it was so great and the music of the show was so good. Well, I really don't like the current mainstream style. The OP is still quite good: https://youtu.be/CMBRGPOJ4lU - No comparison to the Clockwork Planet OP though: https://youtu.be/JEP3QT74hKA
>>18547 This is what I wanted to link, the other on is just the song, which is great as well. I meant the intro, though. Prima Doll OP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hk5pwXw-qhQ

>>18563 Very nice. Still didn't read the manga, though. But the anime is wholesome. I like the whole genre of comfy post-apocalypse.
>>18464 I watched a few episodes, notably the two closers #11 & #12. It was very good, thank you. I commented on it in our Ethics & Morality thread Anon (>>18611). Cheers.
>>8815 Beatless has some banger OSTs. Unfortunately it's mind-numbingly boring. It tries to be deep but comes off as retarded. Not to mention, a gorillion recaps. Hot robowaifus though.
Open file (108.21 KB 1400x700 M3gan.jpg)
>>18690 I also dropped it. Allegedly the sequel is better, but I didn't watch that. I got some meme pics out of it, though. Gonna use them here at some point. Btw, did anyone watch M3gan (it's in the cinemas right now)? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRb4U99OU80 - You know you are right here, if you think she's still kinda cute and good enough if she cuts the horror act.
>>18693 the "sequel" is just the last 4 episodes. And people say it's better just because the plot comes to a climax and there's more action.
>>18693 I have given up on any futuristic movies from the West. It's all retarded dystopian liberal propaganda. Japanese anime seems to be the only place where we get a more optimistic outlook on the future, not to mention robowaifus. The only futuristic movies I liked that came from the West are the Blade Runner films.
Open file (275.25 KB 640x922 robotmother.png)
>>18697 > only futuristic movies I liked that came from the West are the Blade Runner films. These are not optimistic movies, lol. Especially if you don't want your robots become independent or autonomous. And Joy is also framed negatively. Also, these are still dystopian. But you maybe like the technological development the have, and the atmosphere, tone or mood. I already pitched the Westwood game before here somewhere >>7894. In terms of better fembots you might at least like TSCC, Raised by Wolves (show canceled), Turbo Kid, and Tomorrowland (2015). That aside, the trick is to ignore the part where things go wrong with the robots and just embrace how tempting they are beforehand. Many people think so anyways. Even the child actress from M3gan said she wants a doll like her. So the negative framing doesn't really work that well on the consumer level. Maybe at scaring off developers, but still we are here.

I was looking for a movie and ran across this miovie on a streaming movie site. It;s free, or was for me, and I;m about half way through it. Talk about directly related. The movie is about Men who buy AI robots to replace their wives. Wifelike 2022 I found it on https://sflix.to/ The antis are even in it protesting and at some point, haven t there yet, they are hijacking the programming. The senario does seem possible. Maybe even likely.
oops sorry I missed the thread move.
