HOSTFAGS NEEDED I've tested the multiplayer and it does work. It's easy to set up if you follow the guide. ARE YOU READY OPERATORS? What is this? It's fucking Raven Shield, the last good Rainbow Six game and arguably the best tacticool shooter ever made. Arguably? Is it better than SWAT 4? For one thing, Raven Shield came out two years before SWAT 4, so there are clear quality of life differences. I haven't played much of the multiplayer as it's dead, but some differences in design include: >in coop, players can get three AI squadmates that you can order around like SWAT in singleplayer with far less options >these AI squadmates can be changes to any time and act as "lives," meaning that if you die you can still continue playing by switching to a squadmate >doors and leaning are variable >map design is larger and therefore friendlier to long range options like assault rifles and snipers >the TTK is far lower and you will get one-shotted with heavy armor >greater weapon variety and customization than the vanilla game >no wedges >only armor determines movement speed >no less-than-lethal options outside of CS gas The biggest changes are how the campaigns play, which I will get into later. SINGLE PLAYER There are two expansions to Raven Shield, one paid and the other free. Currently uploaded version of Athena Sword doesn't seem to install correctly, so give me time to work on that. Iron Wrath is available on ModDB. Just drop the files into your Mod folder within your game directory. The premise of game is that a neo-fascist organization that is a direct successor to the Nazis is being funded by hidden Nazi capital moved out of Europe before the end of WWII and Team Rainbow, an elite special operations unit formed by international agreement, is tasked with combating this menace so long as they don't end up killing themselves first by entering a confused jumble when someone other than the leader has to throw a frag grenade only for said operator to throw said frag grenade at themselves and kill everyone. The first part of the game involves a careful planning process, where you select up to eight operators out of thirty or so, accounting their strengths and weaknesses, their equipment, and their rank a squad. You have up to three squads that will follow whatever plan is developed. Planning involves putting a series of waypoints on a level's map for the operators to follow. The second phase of the game is a first person shooter where you fail to execute the plan you spent two hours developing. If you want a tip as to how to develop a good plan, just make sure that you pay attention to operator aptitudes and loadouts. It's also good to design plans to accommodate switching operators and don't make it overly complex as to confuse the AI. The planning will not be as satisfying as you want it to be. As to what you can do with your squad, it's mostly just pointing them in the right direction and occasionally having them clear a room. It's that kind of game that provides a lot of great moments if treated like a lady. I have heard of a few gameplay mods for the AI. I haven't tried them out, but if the game feels too weird and yet nothing else scratches that itch, you may want to check them out.

However it doesn't fix the framerate issue. The top problem in 1st picture is with athena sword, which is a known issue that we've yet to resolve. The 2nd problem in the 1st picture is with the update from v1.0 to v1.6 update. The solution on bottom provided is not specific enough to get any useful information out of, can i get some clarification? like what exactly has to be edited? Also, it would be helpful if you indicated what order to install things. I assumed to install everything in the order it was given. so for me i installed disk 1, disk 2 of raven shield, then the 3rd download (the update) fails. and im left with an installation of ravenshield that gives me an error (2nd picture) if i attempt to open it.

I'm going to host another test game. It's under LAN. Server name is JULAY and password is pingas. If push comes to shove, I'll try to make myself available most days, but I will not be able to keep a server on for a weekend. There are some other games I will look into hosting besides this, including Ghost Recon and figuring out how to get Chaos Theory coop working now that Evolve is dead.

There's also a FOV mod if you feel the game is a little restrictive.
