I recommend Mike Leigh's excellent TV movie-plays Abigail's Party and Nuts in May. I don't even like plays very much but these were a nice surprise to me. Both feature the adorable Alison Steadman and well-crafted, understated English humor.

Was it ever cleared up the "She was only sixteen years old!" quote? I remember reading a discussion in the Brydon and Coogan special where they impersonate Caine, one guy said the line isn't spoken in GC, and no one remembers if its from Get Carter, Harry Brown or Alfie.
